Watermelon Bust

A fall philanthropy event that raises money for the Mid South Food Bank, Watermelon Bust is an annual event in which sororities compete in various field day events. Watermelon toss, relay races, and Miss Watermelon Fest are just some of the contests that teams will participate in. Last year, Zeta Theta raised 1,500 pounds of food for the Mid South Food Bank.

 Lambdapalooza

A more recent tradition for our chapter, Lambdapalooza is a spring music festival held at different venues. This year, we successfully raised $1507 for the American Heart Association. We hope to grow this event with our chapter and continue to bring great music to the Memphis campus.

Partnership with Life Blood

In 2012, Zeta Theta partnered with Life Blood and The University of Memphis to bring the first campus wide blood drive to the university. the fall drive had 260 donors, and the spring drive had 371 donors. Zeta Theta was awarded with the Newcomer of the Year Award in April 2013.

Community Service

Zeta Theta is also actively involved in the Memphis community, whether it’s volunteering at a soup kitchen, cleaning up a lake, or helping keep campus clean, Lambda Chi Alpha is always improving our city.
